Lindsay Beckman & Co Ltd is located in the pretty and historic village of Broadway in the Cotswold Hills. Established in 1997 and trading from its current address since 2000, our office provides a comfortable, informal space for our clients. Alternatively, we can visit you at your own offices or at home if more convenient.
We pride ourselves in providing a personal service, tailored to meet each individual’s needs, and are able to give specialist advice on VAT, tax planning, capital gains tax and business development, as well as the more usual accounts and tax return preparation work that you would expect.


Lindsay Beckman

After leaving school in Cheltenham, Lindsay went on to University College London, obtaining a degree in Medicinal Chemistry in 1978.
Deciding that the life of a research chemist was not for her, she went on to train as a Chartered Accountant at the largest independent practice in the South West, qualifying in 1983. She went on to become a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1993. After qualifying, she gained experience at two practices before establishing her own accountancy firm in
Broadway in 1997.
When she’s not working, Lindsay likes to visit the Lake District for walking holidays and France for skiing. She loves all things food related and also enjoys ballroom and Latin dancing.

Rachel Turner

Rachel joined the practice in 1997 when it was first established, initially working part time. As the practice grew and the needs of the clients grew with it, she started specialising in bookkeeping, wages and VAT work.
She now works full time, maintaining clients’ books and records, preparing VAT returns, trading statements and accounts and is in charge of all things relating to wages, PAYE and pensions for employees.
Rachel is married to Kevin and in her spare time she enjoys horse-riding with her daughters and grandchildren, wildlife holidays, walking her dogs, knitting and crocheting.

Charlotte Clarke

Charlotte joined the firm in November 2023. Charlotte completed a degree in Biology and Sports Science at the University of Gloucestershire, graduating in 2008. Following graduation, she completed various work experience placements, including some time at Lindsay Beckman & Co Ltd, during which she decided to pursue a career in accounting. She accepted a trainee position at a large accountancy practice in Malvern where she completed audits and accounts for a wide range of businesses, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013.
Prior to joining Lindsay, Charlotte held the position of Manager at a firm in Pershore, managing her own portfolio of accounting and tax clients. Charlotte enjoys working closely with her clients, assisting with their accounts and tax returns, and has a wide knowledge of cloud-based accounting packages. Charlotte enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two young children and her French bulldog, taking country walks and cooking. She also loves taking her children out on their little pony, Bobby Dazzler, and they have recently started to attend local gymkhana shows. Charlotte has represented Great Britain in Biathle, and has competed in Germany,
Italy and all over the UK.

John Airey

Company Secretary and Business Support
John gained an MA from Pembroke College, Oxford in politics, philosophy and economics before taking a further MA in education, leadership and management.
After years of working in education, he joined Lindsay Beckman and Co Ltd in October 2020 as Company Secretary. He assists with the company compliance and anti-money laundering requirements of the practice and is responsible for facilitating company meetings. He also provides technology support and administration assistance during our busiest times of the financial year.
John’s hobbies include walking in the lovely Lake District, ballroom and Latin dancing and keeping on top of the garden.
